Public Meeting Notice #1
The City of Humboldt will hold a Public Meeting on December 19, 2018 at 4:00 p.m., at the Humboldt Utilities business office. The purpose of this meeting is to present information to the public on the FY 2019 Community Development Block Grant Program. Concerned citizens are encouraged to attend and comment on possible activities.

Beware of Scam
If something seems too good to be true – chances are it is not true!
Many utilities around the state are urging members to be aware of an ongoing telephone scam.
The caller claims there is money from the federal government that can be used to pay utility bills.
The victim is asked for personal information including credit card information which would cover a processing fee. Once that information is received the thief can make charges to the credit card.
Humboldt Utilities will never call and ask our customers for personal banking information.
Although various government programs do exist to assist low-income households in paying essential utility bills, there is no government program that provides blanket grants to cover everyone’s utility bills in full for a whole month.
Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, chances are it is not!
